The shiny ghost

Blackwood-castle was an old castle in the hills of Scotland. Today is it used as a hotel. But it was a very strange hotel, because it was haunted. Everyone who stays there for a night, heard a whispering voice and and noises out of the kitchen.

One day a little girl stayed at the hotel for a night. Her name was Francis. When she was in bed, she heard someone whispering:”I`m so hungry! I`m so hungry!” Francis left her bed and followed the voice. Then she came into the kitchen. There she saw a shiny white shadow. When she came nearer, she realised that it was a little girl like herself. The ghost opened all the cupboards and looked all around the kitchen for something. Francis was very frightened, but then she asked:”What are you looking for?” The ghost answered:”I´m so hungry give me some food”-"Why are you so hungry?”Francis asked. "It was in September 1585, when I stole an apple from cook. I ran away and the cook followed me. Then I tripped over a big stone and fell into the old well. There wasn´t any water in it. And so I was sitting in there, in the hope that someone would help me out. But nobody heard me. After four weeks I starved. And now I´m still hungry and I´m looking for food every night.” First Francis could not move for fear ...
